The 500 Dalton door
It was never your skin. It was never your discipline. It was the door.
Your skin has a size limit. As a general rule of dermatology, molecules much larger than about 500 Daltons don't cross intact skin unaided — and PDRN fragments are orders of magnitude bigger. So is most collagen sold in jars.
So the industry's favourite argument is about how much to leave on the doorstep. And if years of acids and retinol have worn your barrier down, the door is warped too. That's why nothing has worked consistently. Not your skin. Not your discipline.
The ~500 Dalton rule is a general principle for passive absorption through intact skin, not a guarantee about any single ingredient — including ours.
We were asked to make it stronger. We said no.
A bigger ppm number is easy. It costs a formulator nothing and looks like generosity on a box.
We dose at 1,200ppm deliberately — because a cream you use every night without stinging beats a stronger one you quit in a week. Anyone can pour in more. Choosing less on purpose is the expertise.
The barrier-first stack
Repair the door. Then use molecules sized to walk through it.

01
Repair the door — felt in days
2% niacinamide is among the best-evidenced barrier ingredients in dermatology. 1% panthenol is the calm you'll actually feel. This part works regardless of what you believe about PDRN — and it's why comfort shows up first.
-
02
Size the molecules to the door
20,000ppm collagen at 300 Daltons — under the threshold that matters. Honestly: that buys hydration, smoothness and surface condition. We don't claim a cream rebuilds the collagen in your dermis, because the evidence doesn't support it.

03
Dose PDRN for consistency, not for the box
1,200ppm salmon-derived PDRN — salmon because that's the version with research behind it.
The thing no other brand says: PDRN's strong evidence is overwhelmingly injectable. Topical evidence is early. Any brand implying a jar equals the clinic is lying to you.
Formula figures as stated by our manufacturer. Not a treatment for any medical condition.
Before it was a trend, it was wound care
PDRN spent its career helping damaged tissue repair itself.
PDRN began as regenerative medicine — DNA fragments used clinically on wounds, ulcers and grafts. In Korea the injectable became a clinic mainstay, and the cosmetic side effect got noticed fast: skin didn't just heal, it looked better.
Then it crossed the ocean as a trend, and the topical market rushed in competing on the only thing easy to print on a box. We'd rather be the honest version than the loudest one.
It's DNA. Not what the headlines said.
The internet had a field day with this one. PDRN is purified DNA fragments from salmon — the same class of material doctors use in wound repair. Closer to medicine than to anything you need to feel odd about.
What this replaces
The retinol you can't tolerate. The peel you're scared of. The appointment you've rescheduled twice. The drawer of half-used bottles that stung once.
One jar, last step, every night. That's the whole ask.
Pick your ninety days.
Comfort shows up in days. Firmness is the long game — which is why we recommend two jars.
One jar · the trial
20g. Enough to know whether your skin likes it.
Two jars · the 90-day barrier reset
The consistency argument, priced so you'll finish it.
Fifteen days. Opened jar. Still refunded.
Use it nightly for fifteen days. If your skin isn't calmer and better hydrated, email us — opened jar, no return shipping, no interrogation. Fifteen days is the window for what you can actually verify that fast.
The questions you were about to ask
Isn't topical PDRN worthless unless you're microneedling?
It's the smartest objection in this category and we won't dodge it: PDRN's strong evidence is injectable, and the fragments are too large to cross intact skin unaided. That's exactly why we don't sell this as microneedling in a bottle.
What it does do: support the barrier with 2% niacinamide and 1% panthenol, hydrate with 300 Dalton collagen, and dose PDRN gently enough for nightly use. Want injectable results? See a clinic.
Why is your concentration lower than everyone else's? Are you cheaping out?
Deliberately, yes. Concentration only matters if the molecule can get where it's going — past a point you're just adding irritation to something sitting on the surface. We dosed for a cream you'll actually use for ninety days.
Salmon sperm on my face? Absolutely not.
Understandable, and also — good news. It's DNA, not sperm. PDRN is purified deoxyribonucleotide fragments derived from salmon, the same class of material used in clinical wound repair. The viral nickname did the ingredient no favours.
My skin reacts to everything. What if this stings?
It was built for exactly that person — barrier-first base, restrained PDRN dose. That said, nobody can promise your skin won't react. Patch test on your inner forearm for two nights, and the 15-day guarantee covers an opened jar.
I have a fish or shellfish allergy — is this safe for me?
Don't guess on this one, and don't take ours either. This PDRN is salmon-derived — if you have a known fish allergy, speak to your doctor first and email us for the full ingredient list.
How long until I see anything?
Comfort and hydration are fast — usually a few days to a week, and you can verify that yourself. Tone, smoothness and the appearance of firmness are slow: judge those at eight to twelve weeks.
Can I use it with my retinol, tretinoin or acids?
Yes — it's the last step, and it tends to make actives more tolerable. Apply your active, let it settle, seal with this. If your barrier is in a bad way, pause the actives a fortnight and use this alone.
20g is small. How long does it last?
Roughly four to six weeks as a nightly last step, depending on how heavy-handed you are. A pea-sized amount is genuinely enough for the whole face.
Will it pill under sunscreen or makeup?
Give it sixty seconds to absorb before the next layer and it behaves. If you're layering over a silicone-heavy primer or a thick SPF, use less and press it in rather than rubbing.
Is it too heavy for oily or acne-prone skin?
It's a light-to-medium cream rather than a rich balm, and niacinamide and panthenol are generally well tolerated by oily and congestion-prone skin. If you're actively breaking out, introduce it every other night first.
Never heard of you. Why should I risk it?
You shouldn't have to take a risk, which is why the guarantee covers an opened jar for fifteen days. We'd rather earn the second purchase than trap you on the first.
The gentlest formula you'll still use in ninety days beats the strongest one you'd quit in a week.
If that sounds less exciting than a bigger number, that's rather the point.
